Unanimous Not Guilty Verdict for MARA Data Center in Hood County

Granbury, Texas –A Texas jury unanimously found MARA’s data center manager not guilty on all 12 charges of disorderly conduct related to alleged noise from the data mining operations in Hood County.

Counsel for MARA pointed out to the jury that certain politicians had targeted the data center as part of an effort to generate publicity for themselves and get re-elected.  Key admissions during the trial underscored that the citations were issued primarily for political gain rather than genuine concerns about community welfare.  Prosecutors even used what was revealed to be manipulated sound measurements.  A Hood County jury heard the evidence and concluded the county had not carried its burden to prove that the data center was disturbing the peace with excessive noise.

"Today's verdict is a significant victory for justice and fairness," said Jayson Browder, MARA’s SVP of government affairs. "The jury's unanimous decision reaffirms our commitment to operating responsibly and ethically. We remain dedicated to being good citizens and working collaboratively with our neighbors for the betterment of the community."

MARA continues to invest in thoughtful practices and community engagement to ensure that our operations benefit all of Hood County and surrounding cities. We look forward to maintaining open lines of communication with our neighbors and addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
